Hennadii Udovenko belongs to the most prominent Ukrainians of the modern age. Brilliant diplomat, he graduated from the faculty of international relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University and passed the way from a head of the collective farm in Kyiv region to the President of the 52nd UN General Assembly. He worked as a Head of the Ukrainian Permanent Mission to UN in New York, was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Poland, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the MP and the head of Narodnyi Rukh Movement, which is one of the most influential and powerful parties in the independent Ukraine. He met with the internationally distinguished personalities, such as presidents, kings, prime ministers, artists, scientists, writers and polititians, public and religious figures. Since the 70’s of the previous century he has been influencing the global events but in his heart and soul he remained Ukrainian and in the most complicated periods of the Soviet Empire while performing his diplomatic duties he stood for the interests of Ukraine and its people.
